When Alice entered this office in July, she was experiencing extreme pain in her lower back that radiated down into her right leg. Her low back pain was so severe and debilitating that she felt she was going to need a wheelchair. Besides pain, she was even experiencing numbness and tingling in her right leg and toes. Walking was difficult, and walking any distance was out of the question. Her problems began approximately eight months ago and had been getting progressively worse. She initially had treatment with her medical doctor which included taking Vioxx for pain and injections in her low back. She failed to get any better. Her MRI showed a herniated disc in her low back, pushing on the nerve affecting her right leg and a second bulging disc in her low back. I am pleased to report that after only four weeks Alice is doing much better. The numbness is out of her leg, and her pain is gone from her lower back. She is now even able to walk around Cooper River Park, twice! |
